Martina Naich (she/her) hails from Lekinioch Island in the Pacific Region of Chuuk, Micronesia. Currently, she serves as the Referral and Client Intake Manager at the Pacific Islander Community Association of WA.
She is a proud graduate of the College of Micronesia-FSM with a degree in business administration. However, her deep recognition of the needs and challenges faced by Indigenous Communities in the Western world has led her to shift her career toward community advocacy.
She’s very passionate in her work, connecting bridges and breaking barriers for Indigenous Communities. Before taking on her role as a, Referral and Intake Manager, she worked as an interpreter/translator in the medical field at LanguageLine Solutions, providing interpretation services for patients and clients in the Chuukese language and translating various materials. Prior to moving to Washington State, she worked for the Hawai’i Department of Education in Hilo, as a paraprofessional teacher, providing academic support, translation services, and advocating for the needs of students and families.
